Lucas Dupont talked to the media before the game against Bordeaux
How did you feel after the match against La Rochelle?
"I wasn't on the field. So, inevitably, we live things differently. There is a little less frustration. Even if we're disappointed for the boys, for the team and for the club. I'm concerned too, because we are now thirteenth. It certainly wasn't very funny after the game. »
Indeed, Agen has overtaken the FCG....
"Agen, they showed a lot of solidarity, a lot of cohesion. They easily won against Toulon. And then, we're having a little trouble winning games right now, even if we never lose by much. But, in the end, we don't take many points. So we went back behind them. And, indeed, it will be tight to the end. »
In the last 3 games, the FCG scored only one try. Despite almost 60% of possession against the Rochelais, you didn't score. How do you explain this sterility?
"It's true that it's a bit like the killing stat from last weekend. Yes, we had the ball a lot, but it turned out to be a bit sterile, because we scored zero tries. And they, unlike us, palyed the turnover well. But that's the way it's always been in rugby. That's what has always made the strength of the great teams, the strength of Toulouse, the strength of England,... We see it in the VI Nations tournament. They don't necessarily have possession. On the other hand, they are able to go very fast on turnovers. It's a state of mind. But it's true that it would be good if we could get more to that, because that's how we usually score tries. We miss it today. »
Are you concerned?
"We're not worried, we're concerned. It would be crazy not to be. We are aware that the situation is a little critical. But we must not panic either. But, at the same time, we must to wake up, you have to do it now. It should not be done on the last round or next year in Pro D2. »
Bordeaux is undefeated at home. It's a big challenge for you.
"It's true that they are on a good dynamic, since they changed their manager. We feel that there is a good cohesion between them. They also play rugby well. They have talented players. So it's a good mix. »
