The FCG tops this ranking
The Comité Directeur of the Ligue National de Rugby stopped Tuesday the annual ranking of academies. FC Grenoble Rugby finishes first in the Top 14. It is ahead of Montpellier and Racing 92.
The results are based on 3 efficiency blocks smoothed over the last 3 seasons (2014/2015, 2015/2016 and 2016/2017). The results of the sports training (number of matches in professional team, number of selections, number of signatures of professional contracts ...) represent 50% of the valuation. The content and results of school training account for 40%, and 10% relate to dual qualifications (signing a professional contract accompanied by obtaining a school diploma). The evaluation also includes the quality of the medical monitoring implemented.
The training center support fund 2017/2018, with a budget of € 5 million, is distributed among the clubs according to this ranking. The amount per club varies between € 114,000 and € 250,000, with all clubs receiving a guaranteed minimum of € 100,000.
