As part of the French Cup, the Grenoble women hosted the three best teams in the championship: Toulouse, Clermont & Montpellier.
In the first match against the MHR, the Grenoble women took the lead with a short lead at half-time (12-5), the Hérault women remobilized and flattened twice in the second half. Final score 12-17.
The Stade Toulousain (1st in group 2 with a 12-point lead) gave the Grenoble team no chance and won 26 to 0.
The last game was the closest, against ASM Romagnat. Despite two injured players, the Clermont-Ferrand women kept a cool head and overcame the physical fatigue of this type of match, scoring twice, final score 7-14.
This French Cup day allowed the Amazons to compete against the former top 8, which is also the best in the championship on Matchday 10.
First team first
It was a long crossover on the scoreboard that took place this Sunday afternoon at the Stade des Alpes. Unfortunately, it was the Rochelais who had the last word, on a test cap by Tawera Kerr Barlow at the end of the game.
This defeat put the Grenoble team in the position of a play-off, before moving on to Bordeaux and then Clermont.
