Eighth round of Pro D2
The FCG will be back in the stadium this Saturday for the reception in Mont-de-Marsan. Deprived of supporters, the "Red & Blue" will have to face another game behind closed doors, after the derby against Valence-Romans, and get used to playing in front of empty stands.
For this eighth day of Pro D2, the Grenoble players will have to deal with Mont-de-Marsan. The Montois, in difficulty since the beginning of the season, won only one game (against Béziers on the second day). Deprived of four executive players (Vakacegu, Innocente, Hézard, Cabannes), the new Montois staff, with Julien Tastet and Rémi Tales, will be able to rely on some former FCG players: Christophe Loustalot, Thibaud Rey and Teiva Jacquelain.
Latest results
The Stade Montois remains on 4 consecutive defeats: two at home (Nevers 16-26 and Vannes 15-19) and two away (Perpignan 50-10 and Colomiers 22-17).
The next games
Mont-de-Marsan will host Valence-Romans, then move on to Aurillac and Montauban.
The last FCG - Mont-de-Marsan
No game at the Stade des Alpes between both teams last season, it was scheduled for early May. The previous match took place in September 2017. In a very tight game (5 yellow cards!), the Grenoble players won thanks to Gervais Cordin's lightning bolt (26-21).
